UOP Design Society

Visual Identity Design

Overview

The Design Society is a student-led team at the University of Plymouth that organises events for creatives to learn, connect, and unwind. I initially joined as a volunteer poster designer, helping promote events and engage new and existing members. Now, as chairman, I have designed the society’s identity system and merchandise, drawing inspiration from creative coding and the uniqueness of every designer. This builds on a previous design I created last year, which I refreshed by using generative shape combinations within the logotype. This approach ensures that each letterform is distinct from the previous one, reflecting the diversity and individuality of each designer within our community.
