The Design Society is a student-led team at the University of Plymouth that organises events for creatives to learn, connect, and unwind. I initially joined as a volunteer poster designer, helping to promote events and engage both new and existing members. Now, as chairman, I have designed the society’s identity system and merchandise, drawing inspiration from the uniqueness of each designer and creative coding. This builds on an previous design I created last year which I refreshed by incorporating generative shape combinations within the logotype. This approach ensures that each letterform is entirely unique from the last, reflecting the diversity and individuality of each designer within our community.
